I'm looking to rent a car from Jan-May, does anyone know of any car rental companies in Galway? Do they do a discount if it's for 5 months?!

I'd say you'd be better off buying a car for around the €1,000 region rather than rent for 5 months - that way you might make something back

It depends on what quality of car you want: an E1000 job might be ok for running around town if you don't care how it looks, but might not stand up to longer trips or impress potential employers / customers / coleagues / dates / etc.

For that sort of period, research vehicle leasing rather than rental. You'll probably have to look in Dublin rather than Galway to find this, but with the new motorway, it's only a 2 hour drive away.

Sorry, I don't have an specific leads to leasing companies.
