Well it's the last day of 2009 and with that in mind no matter what the weather is like today I think I'll have to head out for my last run of this year.

Looking forward to 2010 and my first ever road race starting with the Rahney 5 Mile on the 31st of Jan.

I hope to then build up to 10k, Half Marathon and the DCM which are my main goals of 2010 for running.

All the best for everyone for 2010 ! :)

I'll be heading out for a run later, don't think I'll quite get enough mile in to finish off the 1000 miles.

    Done !

Got my last run of 2009 in. Not as far as some of you as I'm only a beginner just a 6.10km for me.

Doing the runnerworld beginners 8 week program. Up to 6 min runs with a 1 min walk between the runs repeat 4 times finished by a 2 min run. The idea behind it is to build up to be able to run for 30 mins without a break. I know sounds very easy to most people on here. But I'm enjoying it a lot.

My last run of '09 was a 4.25 steady run this morning. Enjoyed it, hopefully next year will be better for me with not as many injuries.

Went out for a 5K this morning, Really happy with my progression since I started running at 45 years of age the end of Sept 09, Could not run a mile, Now looking at my log I have notched up 84 miles since.

    Happy new year to everybody.

Last run of the year just completed. 15 miles in fabulous sunshine with great company on route. Wonderful way to finish 2009 ;).

Just finished my last run of 2009 too (except for a possible run for public transport later). 5 miles at just under 9 min/mile pace, got hit by a sleet shower with about a mile and a half to go.

Nice 7 mile this afternoon close to Westport ,took it easy, just over the hour. Got dark very quick and tempted to ring OH for collection but the temptation of possibly the only run for the next 4 days due to weather and the ideal (if cold, beautiful moon though..) conditions kept me out there .
Safe and enjoyable running to one and all for 2010 .

My last was 7 miles on the 20th Dec and I'd only one other trot out in the last three weeks of the year. New year's resolution must be to eliminate that trend.
