I tried applying but since my credit card expired before July of 2010 (presumably that's when the payment is drawn down?) the system would not accept my application.
    HHHrrrruummmpphhh!

I got a place in the lottery for NYC 2009 - it was my third entry to the lottery and had been unsuccessful on previous two occasions.

Sure we see what happens, its the only one i want to do as did dublin twice. Dont like spring marathons as weather effects training too much.

If you don't get a NYC place, then consider Berlin. It's on in September, guaranteed entry, and easier/cheaper to get to than NYC.

Whats berlin like for a marathon?

    Is it too warm?

How do you rate to Dublin?

It can be warm later in the race - 24'C when I was finishing in the afternoon.
How does it compare to Dublin? It's one of the marathon majors. Dublin is a great race, but Berlin... Outstanding. 1 Million spectators, a weekend of events, an airport taken over for the registration events, a potential new world record every year.. It's great. The pacers in Dublin are far better though.
