Hey guys, anyone been through recently or at work at the airport any idea how bad the security situation is out there. How long would you need to give to get through, going new years day to US so presume it'l be painful, but how painful??

Phone the airport / your airline.

I was there yesterday with my brother, but he was whisked through because he's on crutches at the moment. Take whatever the ticket says and add 30-60 minutes. There is a food hall airside, so eat there. Note there are two security entrances - most people only use the left one. Use the right one as you walk in to the terminal.

Hiring a pair of crutches might be your best bet. :pac:

Also there are road works ongoing around the airport at night, depending on what time you're entering you might get stuck awhile

It depends what time you are going out at. Come to the airport at least 90minutes before your flight. It will give you enough time to check in, get something to eat and be down to the gate in time.
Most US flights go from pier B its the shortest walk from security to the gate.
