    Hi All,

Since Santa didn't bring me a forerunner 305 I was wondering if anyone has a second hand one for sale?

    PM me if you do.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

I have one, they are great. I havent used the heart rate moniter yet though. I wouldn't be too pushed about buying them second hand, as most people will use it until it starts to mess up on them, then they will update. Better off getting a new one with a warranty.

I got mine on e-bay, from this guy cybershops. it cost me just over €100 all in from what I recall, possibly €110 inc delivery, but he doesn't seem to have any left in stock at the minute.

here is one for sale: on ebay

Selling at $150 which is only €105excl delivery. Even if delivery is another $20/$30 or so it will still only be about €120 for a brand new one with the heart rate monitor.

There are quite a few around this price on e-bay, I would recommend trying to haggle the delivery cost from the sellers cos some are looking for $45 for delivery. The box it comes in is quite light so it should cost them not more than $15 to ship it to you.

Here is another one: on Amazon

It's £140 about €157 plus you will have to pay delivery costs.

Play.com are looking for €183.41 which is a crazy price to be looking on the internet for it.

Just had a quick search in adverts.ie and seen this one which, judging by the comments seems to have sold for about €120. Other people are selling them at unrealistic prices such as this one where the seller was looking for €150, I think they ended up accepting somewhere around €100 for it.

After dooing the research I would still go for the new one off ebay or anywhere else you can find it at that price.

    I hope this helps.

Just to follow up on this post from sometime back - has anyone bought a refurbished forerunner off ebay and had you any issues... not sure if I should go for something like this or spend the few bob extra and purchase off Amazon.

I just bought one off Amazon €168 incl delivery. Euro begining to lose ground on Sterling. I was doing a bit of investigation and a few of the earlier models seemed to have awful problems with the GPS signal. Just one thing to watch out for!

I Have one and they're pretty good, one flaw however it needs to be sitting in a cradle to power it up, I have mislaid the cradle and now I can't use it, Anyone know where one could purchase a cradle for these?

Great price. Is it much of an inferior model to the 305 or 405?

i think the only difference between the 205 and 305 is the addition of the HRM (and I believe a slightly inferior GPS chipset). there are a number of differences to the 405, but it's been covered before, so if you search the forum, you'll find it.

I don't think the 205 for 100 stg is good value for money. You should be getting a 305 for that money. Shop around (online).

Cheers for that. Been meaning to purchase one of these for a while - I like to know my distance and time, not really bothered about a heart monitor. Must take a look around to see if I can get the 305 at a similar price but I think STG100 might be hard to beat!

Hey, just wondering is the garmin forerunners the best method to measure distance? I'm relatively new to running and usually use mapmyrun.com to measure my distance but I don't think it's that accurate.. Is there any other watches that can measure distances run?
    Thanks for advice! :)
