31 Runs In 31 days During January

    Hi Guys,

Firstly I have robbed this idea from another website (but wont go into as much detail or as many rules). This is partly to motivate me to get back running as have exceeded the 16st barrier and Austria is only 27 weeks away. Hopefully it will also help some others to get motivated or build a bit of a better base by getting volume through frequency of running. Rules are:

    1. Running only - walking doesnt count.

    2. Minimum Run is 30 minutes for it to count. However a 20 min brick counts.

    3. Do not have to run every day. Double run days must allow an hour between each run for runs to count and each run must be a minimum of 30 minutes i.e. 2 15 mins run don't add up to 1 30 min run.

I am just throwing this out as a motivator for the month of January. If ye running guys think this is way of base and a ridiculous idea - I apologise in advance.

Also anybody has other ideas to add please feel free.

    Starts 1st January
p.s. Woodle - not trying to take from your 100 mile challenge.

Any idea that gets people out exercising more than they might do ordinarily is a good one. Many of the people who have training logs and lots of other lurkers here will no doubt average at least 3.5 hours of running a week so by the criteria listed will already meet that challenge. Some others will neglect the idea of rest days and run 7 days out of day most weeks. The challenge might appeal to those outside of that though and could work well in conjunction with the 1000 mile challenge.
