    Hello all
Back when i was about 18(25 now) i noticed that my hairline was receding, everything was alright and it wasnt noticible until about 2 years ago when i then started to keep my hair short usually no.1, as i always wore my hair a little bit longer ive missed it since its been gone so i started using propecia pills and rogaine but it hasnt done much in making my hair grow back(maybe it stopped or slowed down furthur hairloss) and I doubt if it will so after much online reasearch about hair transplants and searching for the right doctor ive decided to go for it. At this stage Ive now had a consultation and arranged an appointment for surgery with him in the coming weeks but i want to know if there are any other men out there who done the same and how did you find your results?

keep the number 1 and be glad you have your health. I'm have the same problem but have come to terms that you cant stop the tide from going out.

keep the few quid in your pocket and take each day as it comes

If you've done your research (as I have, I'm 24) you would know that there's no chance of your hairline stabilising in anyway - because you're losing it at a young age, it will attack your hairline a lot more vigorously and pretty much everyone that does start losing it in that age bracket will most likely hit the most drastic results on the Norwood scale. A HT will only slowly delay the problem, and you're going to need more than one operation, possibly one every few years. I could be wrong but you may have finite resources from your donor area or you may have finite finances to fund it all.

I completely understand your situation but personally, I'd wade things out, either go with Toppik to conceal it or a hair system for a few years, hair multiplication is on the way in the next decade and hopefully will be not too expensive, either way I'm sure it will cost you less than the option you're thinking of going down. Also from what I've heard Irish HT specialists are awful so you're gonna need to go to London or the U.S, although perhaps you are already

As I said though, I don't have all the answers and perhaps ppl on hairlosstalkforum.com can help, but something to think about

    Hi RustyBeanTin

Ireland is not a total no go. Blackrock do brilliant work. However, they are expensive. I toyed with the idea of the States but felt more secure knowing that in the event of any problems I didn't need to fly across the Atlantic. I didn't have any problems, as it happens and am very happy with the procedure.
