for reasons i wont go into but lets just say its health grounds , i need to escape this arctic weather for at least three or four days , malaga is the most southerley city in spain so i assume it might be reasonabley mild , was in barcelone in january around six years ago and it was 20 degrees , anyway , was wondering what the place is like , i realise it wont be peak season or anything like that and i wouldnt expect it to have anything like the tourists interests that barcelona has but can you find stuff to do

    cheers

well for one, its much smaller than barca, its got a castle, beach and bullring, good nightlife but outside that not a lot. weather at that time of the year will be unpredictable, i was there in late december last year and it was lovely about 18-19 degrees and sunny but i was just west in gibraltar and marbella a few days previous and weather was on the cool side, our accommodation in marbella had no heating and we nearly froze at night

for guaranteed good weather try the canaries, southern tenerife and southern gran canaria are the warmest areas, both will be devoid of the lager louts at that time of year
