I have a 2005 ford focus. I replaced a remote control lock on one of the doors but the new lock is broken again. Any suggestions as to whats causing this?

    Thanks in advance!

Could be a fuse. Fusebox is in the passenger footwell behind the carpet. Theres two yellow tabs to undo. I don't know the number of it but should have a diagram in your manual. If not ring ford. :)

could also be the wiring loom. Check if there is damage where the wires run into the doors, if its the drivers dor giving trouble then this is a likley possible cause

If you are not handy or familiar with car electrics then I recommend you take it to a good auto electrician.

I have already brought the car to a ford garage. They replaced the lock but it's broken again and they don't know why.
