First step have you run chkdsk from recovery console?

    Hi
I have ran chkdsk and it said it fixed one or more errors but the problem still happens.

Do you have access to an xp/ vista disc, whichever os you have.

And just perform a repair install, but beware you are prompted twice on different ways to run a repair install, i had a blue screen of death plenty of times and by running a repair install using the disc from the partition selection screen it resolved my problems, has yet not to work for me yet.

Only do this if you are familiar with this type of repair install, i must warn that.
