As the question states, will a freesat box work anywhere in the world, allowing me to get bbc, itv, ch4,e4 etc etc?

I am heading back out to Korea at the end of february and would love to watch the football in English rather than in korean or through the internet.

no, it might work as FTA box but not a freesat box. so should work in non freesat mode but you won't have any hope of watching English channels bar bbc world etc.
Your best bet is torrents or local pubs

    Thanks for your replies.

I am used to using torrents, and streaming online or watching the korean coverage of football matches but I would have like to have the high quality feed from free sat rather than the sometimes unreliable internet coverage.

I must have a look into the slingbox.

We have sky digital in our house, and I know you can access it online too (i think it's an extra charge), would it be possible for me to add this to our subscription and watch it over there or does the ip address have to be the same region as your subscription?

the online player is free for sky once you are a subscriber and I have not seen much about IP addresses etc but I presume a Korean IP address would not bode well with them? Or maybe you can't watch live TV on it
