I'd exclude Katie Taylor from that, but otherwise it sounds like a complete nightmare.

Excuse my ignorance but who is Katie Taylor?

I wouldnt rate taylor as a good guest for a chat show.

Her achievements are remarkable but she seems quiet and somewhat ill at ease in front of the camera.

And why do we need to see Mary Mac - Mother of the nation?
    What has she done?

Yeah, that's a fair point. I was just thinking of it from the point of view of guests that I can actually stand.

    Tonight's events:

Mary McAleese - Her reign and the year as a whole
Brian O'Driscoll - Rugby, the victory and the wife to-be
Katie Taylor - Her boxing, how great she is, she does the bit of footy as well, Darren Sutherland, the sadness
Louis Walsh - Too obvious to describe

one wonders whether having the ability to drone on endlessly with meaningless bland platitudes is paramount to being head of state or is it that just the kind of girl mrs mcaleese is

The only thing Louis failed to mention was that he would like them in his bed.

Then Tubs asks does he love them?

    Walsh replies no!

+1. Tubridy is a gobshíte of the highest order. Once again he can't put two sentences together with out looking at his prompt cards - he should be on the Den. A 12 year old would have conducted a better interview with the President.

We were saying this in our place. He was completely wrinkle free. Definitely has had some nipping and tucking done. He looked like Odo from Deep Space Nine.

Louis has an uncanny ability to make everything he says sound sleazy.

Don't know about sleazy but there is certainly a sense of something 'unsaid'. Why do people in this day and age still put themselves through the "I just haven't found the right girl yet, Gay/Pat/Ryan" thing that Joe Dolan went through for decades lest the matrons of middle Ireland keel over should they know the truth? Would also be a nice legacy for Stephen Gateley if more people felt they could be a bit more honest about certain aspects of their lives.

Katie Taylor very hard to listen to, in that annoying Wicklow accent, would put you in coma listening to her

I would imagine he used botox. he's such a childish idiot, is he trying to reinvent himself with that silly accent and trying to look twenty again?
