Anyone have a Kaleidescape DVD server?

I have hundreds of DVDs and blurays, was thinking of getting a DVD server. Seen the kaleidescape they look really good but very expensive. is it worth the money?

Was thinking of building my own too.

i've used the kaleidascape but i cant afford one so i built a media centre pc and have loaded all my DVDs onto it and im in the process of loading my blu-rays onto it. (i've also loaded all my CDs onto it in FLAC format as well, its lossless compression and the sound is top notch)

i feel the computer route is more functional than a kaleidascape tbh. i can use whatever software, front end, codecs etc i want as it is a fully functioning pc.

price wise, i built the whole computer for ~€1300, that includes a bluray burner, very good graphics card & 3TB of hard drives. kaleidascapes are much more expensive.

the kaleidascape is easier to load your DVDs onto, but as far as im aware the kaleidascape still doesnt do blu-rays, whereas my yoke flies through them and plays them back great - with & without compression.
