I like to listen to a nice bit of industrial metal when I'm lifting, Rammstein, Rob Zombie and the like, great for keeping you focused and the intensity up!

A great album I recently rediscovered is the original Matrix soundtrack, it has a great mix of high intensity high BPM songs like Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, Rob Dougan etc. and some wishy washy soundtrack stuff that I usually skip over or listen to warming down or something! Outside of that there's alway Metallica/Queens of the Stone Age etc. But if I'm doing cardio sometimes I prefer a bit of electro or I'm after getting quite into these "Best of Bootie" albums and some Mashup Mixes like Girl Talk...

It has been said before that all an athlete needs to listen to, is the sound of his/her heartbeat. I don't use music whilst in gym.

I very rarely listen to music using headphones anyway, so.
