Can anyone explain why Pat Shortt is given so much air time by RTE, his shows are not funny, no story, no structure. A primry school kid could produce a better comedy than this crap he keeps spitting out. Watched Mattie hoping he could improve on that dire; the name of which we do not mention, but no it was the same tripe obivious jokes i seen coming a mile away. The ratings will be high for Xmas like Killna **** skully but only cause people want to see how bad it will be.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Family friendly.

I hate his shows as well. He was supposed to have done a very good movie recently though.

I can only assume that it's because of the ratings. It's a sad reflection on the Irish viewing public that they tune in to anything he produces, even if it is slurry.

That's a fact. I think it's the familiarity of it, brings back a memory (and maybe a hope) of D'Unbelievables. It's a pity, he's a massively talented man, it's just not shining through in these programmes.

The film in question was the brilliant "Garage". It's won awards and well-deserved international acclaim. It deals with the isolation of Irish country life, a darker and more honest look to life that D'Unbelievables and Killinaskully made comedy from. Personal favourite.

Acting only as far as I know. It was written by Mark O'Halloran, who wrote Adam and Paul.

I just don't know it was one of the most boring shows I've seen over the festive period i would preferred if they put on a repeat of the Simpsons instead and because the parents wanted to watch it i had to endure it.

I'll never understand his popularity. He's a big favourite with the culchies, they can't get enough of him. :)

    Orange pilled.

I don't get most of the Pat Shortt humour. Some of the characters he does have hilarious moments however. I w
as pleasantly surprised when I watched "Garage" on someones recommendation. He gave a very convincing performance. It was a brilliant film and he definitely has talent.

Yeah, I liked Garage but I hated D'unbelievables and Killinaskully etc. Didn't watch his new stuff during the last week. I'm sure it was pretty similar to Killinaskully etc.
