thigh weight loss

    ok i better explain im 23 male and for the past 6 months have been cycling mostly daily during summer months and at weekends now im back to college in may 09 i was 17stone i now currently weigh 14 stone which im delighted with but now my problem is the huge thighs i have i was always prone too, but i feel now the cycling has build up the muscle even bigger, i want to loose the weight in this area which i appreciate may be hard so i was wondering should i continue cycling or walking ive recently started walking/jogging as i feel it works them muscles more:confused:

    Definitely keep doing what you're doing (as long as its working). Even if your thighs are big (you may just think they are because you look at them when they're squished while sitting down) it may be because you're predisposed to storing fat there.

    If you do have big thighs from cycling...good! They'll look even better when you trim down a bit more.

    Brilliant achievement by the way.

    thanks very much ill keep at the walking for a while anyway and see if i make progress if not ill look at other options would you recommend doing squats?

    I recommend everyone do squats. They are a fantastic exercise. However, they won't cause fat to come off your legs. They'll only help reduce your overall body fat levels (if you are on a calorie deficit).
