I do, but usually end up taking them off when in bed, which means theres a pile in the end of my bed. Besides, it's cold these days!

Nah, boxers and t-shirt is usually all I wear in bed..

I have tried to do it. But I always end up taking them off. Need to have as little on as possible to sleep comfortably.

I wear them to bed, change them first thing every morning. Except mornings like now when I've been up since an ungodly late hour yesterday, I'll just stay awake now till later.

Sometimes kick them off, nearly always do that in summer.

Only time I ever wear them is when I collapse in a heap and on those occasions I'll often wear my shoes in bed. There have been numerous occasions in recent months when my gf had to take my shoes and socks off and even on one occasion try and drag me from my desk where I had passed out exhausted. Thankfully college is over for a month

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

    Just no, don't do it.

I had a roommate in college who did that and the room stank...the same smelly socks he wore all day still on him in bed. I put up with it for a year, said it once but made no difference. A few of us went to Spain a couple of years ago, and he was staying in our room. Oh the smell was back only x 100 cos of the heat, so 1st night there we just said it to him...and for next week he actually went sockless to bed...made such a difference.

So def a resounding no to socks in bed.

    Only during cold weather.

I also sometimes wear an old hoody to bed if its particularly cold.

No way can i wear socks in bed it would wreck my head.

My wife though is a different story. She wears them to bed but as she gets into bed she pulls them down to her ankles so she can kick them off during the night. Loads of socks in the bottom of the bed

Always wear socks in bed.......big fluffy ones and i tuck my pj bottoms into them!

Otherwise I have two cold bricks in the bed and my partner complains!

    :)

I wear them when it's very cold, or if I'm staying in someone elses bed, dunno why I do that.:o

Same as, couldn't wear anymore than boxers even in the freezing cold. Socks are bloody uncomfortable so they are, don't know how anyone can wear them to bed.

There is no way I could sleep with socks on! That just wouldn't work at all! Just, no ... very very wrong

Why are some of you so opposed to wearing socks in bed?!

Why are some of you so opposed to wearing socks in bed?!

Because Hitler famously wore socks to bed, of course. Nobody wants to emulate that guy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,322 ✭✭✭Mad_Max

Even on the coldest of cold days I'd wear everything bar socks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 222 ✭✭GirlatdRockShow

Would you not just put on an extra blanket? Surely you would wake up in the middle of the night sweating buckets?!(like christy moore,:D as breffni from the apprentice said )
Usually wear socks to bed,but take 'em off in the middle of the night, leading to a pile up at the end of the bed of all different socks, never the same two though, one always goes missing!

Soxy sex is not sexy sex. But it still must be done regardless. Scratch that err... itch, so to speak.

I wear socks into bed if my toes are freezing because it seems to help warm them up fast. I'd usually take them off once my feet are warm enough.

Wearing socks to bed is just one step away from wearing shoes to bed.

    Feckin' weirdos!

Men, no way. Women, nothing should be covering the feet unless it follows all the way up to the thigh and attached to a suspender belt ;)

    ha ha - agreed..

But I don't really mind the sock wearing by men. As long as I have easy access to the 'relevant' parts, that's all that matters.;)

Since its gotten so cold I've started wearing a long sleeved t shirt to bed, as my shoulders get frozen when the sheets get robbed, as for socks, I have fluffy ones just for bed and I'll wear them in bed when cold. When the weather warms up again I'll stop wearing them.

If I am horny I take off my boots and my socks.

My wife now recognises this as fourplay;)(2 socks and 2 boots)

The floor is just too slippery with socks on and not taking off the boots just is'nt romantic:p

Id wear socks in bed if its cold those comfy fluffy ones and if you get up in the middle of the night your feet don't freeze walking on cold floors

I hate the feel of my feet without socks. Can't sleep without them.

    Jaysus, that's not right.

You should have said to him, 'fffs love... it's just a pair of socks, I'm still me'. ;)

Socks = warm feet and they can be removed

As long as the bloods flowing to warm all the essential bits ;)

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 34,567 ✭✭✭✭Biggins

No. Undesirable from the heat build-up alone.
Then there is the attraction factor or lack of one when wearing them in bed...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,962 ✭✭✭jumpguy

I tried it a few times, but some of the biggest problems were
    1. It felt weird, to be wearing my sweaty socks in bed.
    2. Overheated feet = Overheated me (and vice versa).
    3. When I woke up in the morning, there'd be a painful ring left where the elastics of the socks were as I slept. So basically this point would be "bad for circulation".

    I'll stick with sleeping naked.

    Sweaty socks ????

jeeze if your going to wear a pair in bed at least make sure they are fresh and seperate from your daily wear ones

Socks in bed is just odd.

The only excuse (for women) would be if it is absolutely freezing. There's no excuse for men to wear socks in bed. None at all. Be a man for feck's sake, toughen up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Holsten

Yes, socks for me and socks for her.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

I always wear my socks. I have bad circulation in my feet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,073 ✭✭✭sam34

usually, winter or summer, i sleep completely nude.

but sometimes i wear socks, if its really cold. just socks though, no PJ's

but i'd never wear socks if i had a man in bed with me

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,148 ✭✭✭✭KnifeWRENCH

Never. Wearing socks in bed feels horrible. If I'm cold, I'd just an extra blanket or something.
