    Hi There

The perceived wisdom seems to be cardio after weights.

I this is because you may be tired after cardio and your lifting form can go to pot when you are tired, increasing the possibility of injury.

Personally I always alternate one day cardio, one day weights. Never do both on the same day. Works for me.

Yes, most say cardio after, or you could do a very light warmup, but I prefer warming up with the actual exercise but at a lower weight.

After 20mins of cycling I can barely walk sometimes, there is now way I could think of doing weights after it. If I could do anything I would be thinking the cardio I just did was a waste as it was obviously just a walk in the park.

You can lift to the best of your ability if you muscles are not worn out first.

If your knee's are shot from running, I just hope you or an instructor know's how to properly adjust your saddle height, riding position etc on your spinning bike or your royally screwed!.

If you've no interest in bodybuilding or weight lifting/strenght training, then would you be interested in circuit/weight circuits? (just playing devils advocate).
