I'm a huge Yankees/MLB baseball fan, coming over from NY and moving to Dublin. Is there anyway I could order the YES network over in Dublin? Thanks!

Never heard of the YES network. But if its MLB you are after then there is plenty of coverage available in Ireland via satellite.

    Try here http://liveonsat.com/today.php for details.

    Thanks.

Is it just general MLB channels like ESPN, or can you get a specific team's channel (ie YES network http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yes_network)?

I highly doubt that you could receive YES in Europe. I can tell you though with 100% certainty that the play-offs and World series are definitely broadcast live. I am pretty confident that regular season games are also shown live. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESPN_America shows alot of american sports but so do other local broadcasters such as Sky in the UK & Ireland. Channel five show some NFL also.

If you are baseball fan in Ireland ESPN America will provide you with at least one game a night. However this could feature any teams. If you want to follow one particular team then I'd recommend signing up for mlb.tv on www.mlb.com. This allows you to watch pretty much any game that is being broadcast in the US, in various SD and HD qualities. In fact your own broadband connection will decide the picture quality you receive. Get a laptop and hook it up to a HD telly, the quality is amazing.

My only other recommendation is to drop the evil empire and support a real team. Just so you can look at yourself in the mirror. Let's Go Red Sox!
