Setting up Ross system FTA (B&Q)

The mammy decided to buy a FTA Ross system at B+Q, and I've been volunteered to install it!
Anyway, put up dish, used dishpointer.com, Got compass bearing and elevation. Fine tuned it to get 85%signal, 82% quality.
Did a scan of free stations on Astra 2, and got 450 channells (well impressed!)

That is untill I check the channells and find that about 6 of them are english speaking and the rest are french/german etc.
Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong? is it the wrong satellite I'm aiming for, or is there a bit more involved in tuning?

    Any help appreciated.

    I think that's Astra 1 :)

you will have to tweek the position slightly.

10 out of 10 for that John Mac, was indeed Astra 1. Stuck my hand out the window while watching tv, pulled the dish a few degrees towards me and hey presto!! 150 english speaking channels.

(Just have to figure out how to edit those other channells off the display now!!)
I think I'll invest in a dish myself now, 50 euro from B and Q including receiver, cables etc.

Edit: Reset to factory default, all channells wiped, scan astra 2, job done (tighten up all the bolts tomorrow, clip in cable and cover screws/bolts in grease)

Well, job done. Astra 2and Freebird tuned in, ended up with approx 200 channels, after deleting shopping channels, rubbish etc (for anyone who doesnt have the god channell it seems he's short on cash and wants yours!!)

Now installed another 2 of these units at 50 euro each you cant really go wrong.

So whats the best way of getting rid of the dead/rubbish channels? is it one by one, or delete all > then recapture the stations you want?

Theres a delete program option where a list of all stations is displayed, as you scroll down them iti shows the station in the background and you just choose to delete, very fast, and easy.
