Getting film developed

I'm fairly fed up of getting scratched negatives back from the local chemist, and was wondering where is a decent place to get some (about 6 rolls) film developed for a decent price.
    Any suggestions?

If you're in Dublin, go to Gunn's in Wexford Street, opposit Whealan's.
Don't know if they are the cheapest, but they are for sure the nicest.

when I finally got sick and tired of spending ages trying to clone out irrepairable scratches and covering over fingerprints and stitiching back together frames that had been cut in half I started developing my own. Its the only way to be sure :-)
The only place I ever found was fujicare on abbey street, but that was for slide, which they sent out so I don't know what their in house C-41 is like. Also I never tried gunns above which has a good rep. Everywhere else i had film developed, from chemists to camera shops, screwed up the negs in some fashion.

Setting up a darkroom is the dream, I just need the time. Might give Gunns a shot next week.

No need for a darkroom to develop film. Not much gear required to get you going and you'll save money in the long run.
