    Hey
Looking to get a netbook for under €300, but pretty much will only be using it to go on internet and for collegework (powerpoint, excell, wordprocessing etc.)

Would be nice if it had the memory to be able and store a few hundred songs/a few films, but having never had one before this is not essential.

Most important things are, reliability, portability and usability.

    Thanks in advance.

Could I ask where you found this out? Which model is it?
If its true I might have to try pick one up

I saw an ad in the Irish Independent newspaper yesterday, and it said it's on sale only between 8-9am . i presume it's the N130

You were correct Joe N130 for 200 quid, just got one from powercity in coolock, not sure how many there were but while I was up there four were bought so that they'd last past 9am.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Was thinking about picking one of these up myself. They have them on ebuyer for 220, i doubt they have any left in power city at this stage. Is it any use? does it have the 6cell battery?

Anyone know much about the HP laptop there are advertising on the TV . 650 down to 450?

    http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/pc-peripherals/notebook-computers/n-series/NP-N130-KA01UK/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail

Was preloaded with XP but afaik you can get it with windows 7, not sure what the craic is with upgrading my one.

6 cell battery, but from what i've read online, it is at the lower end of the 6 cell battery range, meter on my one is saying it should last 6hrs fully charged, power city advertised battery life as 5-6 hrs.
All in all, it seems a handy little machine. Not complaining for €200, annoying having to uninstall some of the crap they have preinstalled on it though.

are they on general sale at that price or was it only between 8 and 9 today? I think i'll pick one up tomorrow if they still have them, it's a great price. You should put a fresh xp or 7 on it shoutman and all that ****'ll be gone

really tempted by this too. It shows 250 on their site so is it only in store at the lower price. I would prefer a better battery life but cant warent paying twice the price for one though. Would you get the 6 hours out of it playing movies off the HDD also can you install Win 7 off a usb key or would I need to get a USB drive?

As far as I know it was just a one day thing, so doubt there is any left, however I could be wrong.

I got a dell a few weeks back preloaded with Windows 7 and accompanied by the dell windows seven dvd.
Can I use this to put windows seven onto the new netbook.

I have seen the tutorials on how to load it on via usb's etc, so the question is just whether or not I can use the dell windows 7 cd that goes with the dell computer.

    Thanks in advance.

Because it Dell I would think it'd be a repair dvd, not an install dvd.
If its a repair cd no, but if its the latter then maybe.

Have you tried loading the dvd to see which one it is?

It is a reinstallation dvd so i'm guessing i'll be sticking with XP

Give them a call sure, and if they do get them to hold one.
