Does your remote look like this?

If its the same remote as in the post by Spurious, then just push the "radio" button once more and it'll revert to TV mode.

Does the remote have a TV and video switch on the side?
I'd look at the 'mode' buttons and the Radio one (1).
What exact model of TV is it?

Hm, I'd have thought John Mac to be right on that.

Pressing Mode button, until the "Shift" LED lights up, then press 2. Might need to press Mode button twice...

Would the "radio mode" the OP referes to actually be RTE DTT on an MPEG2 TV ?

Nope, TV's too ancient for that even. Some Philips CRTs have FM radios in them.
