Does the voice in your head annoy you or drain your energy? I wish it would shut up a lot of the time. The worst time is when you are in bed trying to stop thinking only to realise your thinking about not thinking.

In case your thinking " I don't have a voice in my head", thats the voice right there.

    I'm thinking about thinking.

That's not really a voice because it's only thinking.

    You mean..."thoughts?"

    Not necessarily thoughts. Internal dialogue.

Reminds me of this classic from the Simpsons

    Homer's brain: Use reverse psychology.
Homer: Oh, that sounds too complicated.
Homer's brain: Okay, don't use reverse psychology.
    Homer: Okay, I will!

Thinking in the form of words is what I mean. You can think without words. When solving a problem in maths for examlple. If you think in words purely you won't be good at maths.

  • The voice in mt head is trying to get me banned.

    I'm not listening though.

    No.

    Not listening

Do you think in numbers/binary then?

Well when I try and solve something in maths, I usually have it written down, so I think abou that. Usually there are words involved also.
