    Hi,
I need some advice - Powercity have a Samsung 4 series and 5 series for sale at the same price (399). One is HD Ready and the other is Full HD.

I have a standard Sky+ box and it's unlikely that I will get a HD box in the near future. Although in we might change to NTL in the next 12 months or so.

My question is which is the best TV to get considering that we will watch most things in SD?
I've read that SD on a full HD TV can look crap.

    Thanks in Advance,
    L

I have the 550 (samsung 50 inch plasma full hd) on NTL at SD and I've got to say it looks great. Terrific picture quality.

You also need to bear in mind that you may upgrade to a HD DVD player and then you will need the full HD display. If I were you I'd go for the full HD.

    Thanks Elderlemon.

We went for the full HD and we're happy with it so far. :)
