Anyone know if its possible for an individual to run on an evening at CIT or Mardyke tracks in Cork? Would really love to do one speed session a week on track in the new year but member of a club outside Cork City who don't train on track.

I'm not sure lad. I know Eagle train between 7 and 8 on Tuesday's and Thursday's out there. With the Mardyke track closed at moment, I think the club's that use it are now are using CIT instead for moment (leevale, st finbarrs?).

A guy at work went up there at lunch-time during week and he said it was open and he was on his own up there. not sure how these things work with insurance?

Access to the track at the Mardyke is around the side of the building and there's no one there to check membership or anything. I'm not sure what the official gym policy is but you'd get away with it. You could pretend to be a student if asked and just say you left your student ID in the car. That said I've used the track a few times and never been asked.

If you live anywhere near Limerick you could consider using the track in UL. Its open to anyone at any time.
