I'm sure I speak for my co-mods when I say Happy Christmas to all who frequent our little corner of boards.ie.
May 2010 be filled with only the best of TV shows (and jobs, love, quality of life, money, comfort, yadda yadda etc.) but mainly good TV.

Looking forward to more teenage angst from Richard Dower, sitcom dissection from Elmo, nuggets of news and random thread resurrections from JP Liz, public savaging of all attempts at comedy by RTÉ, and more post-while-you-watch threads during Late Late Shows (which are usually more entertaining than the show itself) in 2010.

With shows like Chuck, 24, Caprica, Big Love, Nip/Tuck, Lost and Leverage all starting soon, the year will be off to a good start. :)

    Hear, hear.
One funny piece of work by RTE I found lately was The Modest Adventures of David O Doherty, pretty funny 6 part series.

Also the 'new and improved' late late show is pure ****e, but on the bright side at least have a great show in -'The Frontline'.

For a great review of the year watch Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe 2009 Review - Great show!!!!!!!

As a big fan of Ryan Tubridy, I'm surprised to hear this. There's a bit of christmas sarcasm for you ;-)

Happy christmas everyone, hopefully a few good comedies over the week. Wonder what those two Jon Kenny contributions will be like?

    Happy Christmas everyone. :)

Shall we use this thread for recommendations for the next few weeks? Just got Sky+ into my room and am after something to put into the series link, preferably not something I would've already acquired online. :)

Same here guys!...many thanks to all. I even got a mention! :-)
Been good here this year, and with 2010 being a bumper year for my telly choices i'll be back posting info and my views.

Don't forget!...ABC Family starts 10 ep. runs on Jan 4th for The Secret Life Of The American Teenager + Make It Or Break It, Jan 26th we have another 10 eps. of Greek.

The CW launched their highly acclaimed new show Life Unexpected on Monday Jan. 18th!
In addition we'll see the return of Vampire Diaries and dare i say....Gossip Girl!

    :-)

I would like to add my own seasons greetings to all in the TV corner, Boards would be a lesser place without us all!

So I've heard... gave up 2 episodes in!

Think I might re-watch 'Misfits' with the girlfriend first.

 CSI Vegas is still watchable, and they are starting up a serial killer arc!

Has Lawerence Fishburn added anything to this series. I think CSI Vegas has be ruined by the spin off series.

In all honesty, no...he's a damp squib. He was kinda edgy and interesting his first two apperances, he's now like Bill Cosby.

Grissom was a huge loss, Jorja Fox is back...but she ain't upto much. Honestly it's Nick, Wendy and Hodges that provide the interesting characters, along with the other lab rats.

Dave? Have to say I'm not impressed with today's Schedule at all. BBC tonight showing repeats of Top Gear and Hugh and Oz, poor show BBC.

They must've been checking out Boxset sales and decided not to bother trying.
