To be honest I wouldn't buy it, you have no idea what that controller is like, and it uses aa batteries

The dvd remote looks pants and looks like it and the controller use ir dongles ( using up two usb ports on your ps3 ) and do you need a vertical stand ?

Looks pretty rubbish to me... The PS3 is perfectly stable when its upright, wouldn't fall over unless you actively tried to push it over. (guess that might be handy if you had kids around...)
The controller looks pants as has already been said, and that remote looks like an extremely poor substitute for the official one.

I guess its worth getting if you can't afford the official peripherals, but in this case you'll definitely get what you pay for...

Stay well away it's all rubbish sorry.

If you want a good present for a similar price get him an official ps3 controller if he only has the one, he'll be happy with that or if you can afford the extra few euro get him an official dual-shock ps3 controller!!
