What a tosspot. How come no-one has taken charge of him? The guy is a shambles (geddit)

There should be a sticky for him alone!

The problem with the whole entertainment industry is that drugs are accepted. Music companies see news like this as a chance to sell records. These are public figures with a huge influence on teenagers and the fact that they are not hung out to dry by their bosses when something like this happens says it all. In any other job, you'd be fired!

He's an obituary waiting to happen.

Where's he getting the money from? Surely no-ones buying his records.

Wow! a rockstar who takes drugs!! OMGZZ1 What a scandal! Gone are the days of wholesome, straightedge musicians like pink floyd, the rolling stones, the who, david bowie, hendrix the beatles, elvis presley and er...

Hang on a minute, maybe we should just accept that rock n roll and drugs go together hand in hand and always have done. Perhaps we should judge Pete on the music and songs he writes instead of what he puts up his nose and in his veins. Who bloody cares? It's hardly a massive revelation that a famous singer takes drugs. Get lives.

Pete Doherty and his ilk can do whatever they like as long as it's not for public consumption and influential to youngsters. Drugs have no place in society, yet you think we should just accept it?

The fact that a famous singer (termed very loosely) takes drugs is not a revelation proves just how bad the problem is.

Its not the drugs alone that pisses me off, its that he is so utterly witless. You wouldn't ask him to get some milk.

I'd like him to get stranded on a desert island with Amy Winehouse after their reproductive organs were removed.

I beg to differ, but he's sh*te,utter sh*te.He's more famous for being famous, ask anyone to name five songs straightaway without thinking, and you'd be hardpressed, ask anyone to sing one of his songs all the way through, and you'd get the same result.

    Totally over-hyped junkie,just wish he'd feck off..

Exactly. He is only known as Kate Moss's drug supplier. Nobody really knows who the Libertines are in fairness.

Could a lot of it be fake? Or some sort of desperate attept at attention grabbing?

How famous he is or what he's known for has nothing to do with his music.
