looking to play rugby in sydney

    im in sydney now for a couple of weeks on a WHV and wanted to know where someone can play rugby around these parts. im living in cooggee beach and was looking for somewhere in the area where you can play some social rugby, ive been looking around and from what i can see it all looks a pretty serious standard but would prefer something more social, like j4 level at home. wouldnt mind getting a bit of preseason in and try to get reasonably fit again, i.e. lose the sydney stone! :D

    Hey, I tried the same thing when i lived in Coogee (lived on Mount st), the local teams are very hard to get into. The best thing I found was pop down around the oval near the beach with some friends and try pick up a game of touch.
    Theres always people there looking for a quick game of anything!
    Let us know if you find a way to get onto one of the teams there, id be interested in knowing!

    Randwick would be very serious- join one of the teams who play in the Sydney Subbies. Waverley play in Bondi and supposed to be good crack

    I played for a year with the Dirty Reds in Drumoyne there were load of Irish playing for the teams.
