We all do it, committed to an OH or not.
But for a while now Iv found some of my mates interest in the local girls to be a tad bit over the top.

Lets say for example, its during the summer, 4 or 5 of us will be laying on the beach having a few drinks, a girl will walk by.. we'll all have a look of course and maybe the odd lad will voice his opinion, but where the conversation takes us to after that is a fair bit darker and.. seedier, if that make any sense.
They will start to talk about local girls, girls we know to see, but not at all to socialise with or even say hello to on the street. They'll discuss openly the fine details of the girls body and personality and so on.. it makes me wonder, are all guys like this? are we all raging perverts?.. and what the FOOK would these girls do if they were to find out what completely random and most certainly unknown strangers think of them and would like to do to them?

Every group of guys will do this, or atleast any group of lads ive been in. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. Confronting the girl and telling her what you think of her is a different story as many of the stuff said isnt exactly politically correct :P

Have you ever read a womens magazine? 50 pages filled with ripping apart celebs for stuff that any normal person could do unnoticed.

I dont think girls do it as much about lads or atleast not in the way lads would, but they sure as hell do it about other women in an even more cynicle way.

Men like looking at women. They always have, and they always will. But I think it matters how men talk about women. It's one thing to say "she has a nice ass". It's another thing to announce, "I would cum all over her face". Dial it down a notch, dude; that's just gross.

I don't know if this is because hardcore porn has been normalized, or it's just a symptom of a general coarsening of society. It may also be because people today seem to feel free to share every innermost thought they have, whether on Twitter, Facebook, whatever. But sometimes having an internal filter is a good thing...especially when it involves other people.

Finally, as a woman I am unfortunately aware of what some men on the street think about me as I walk by, because they are certainly not shy about shouting it out for the world to hear. Granted, they usually have three teeth and/or are drunk, but that still doesn't make it less weird when a stranger barks "girl, I will suck on them toes!" as you walk by (true story). Like I said, an internal filter is good... :rolleyes:

Just passing comment on a girl whos walking by is fairly normal. Not too sure about going into any great detail though. At first thought, it does seem a tad strange. But I can think of times when the conversation would have gotten a bit more detailed. Having said that, it wouldn't be all that often. As Rosie said, there should be a limit to what we discuss, or just say out loud. To procalim lodly ina public place that you would "come all over her face" is a bit out of line. Think of the children like.

It really is a stupid idea that some women have that when they have a man in a relationship with them that he will no longer look at other women and think of sex.

It is out of our hands what our minds think, it is in our hands how we act on those thoughts though.

I have lots of female friends. In fact about 8 out of my 10 closest mates are chicks. As a gay man I have the privalage of getting very close to my female friends. It's a cliche but true, From my exp girls share a lot more with their gay boyfriends than their actual ones. Now of those 8 closest girlfriends of mine, 6 of them are hot, and 3 of them are seriously like straight lads jizz in their pants hot.

Anyhow I've 2 points to make. First is that this thing of lads checkig girls out all the time provides some serious hilarity for me when I'm with the girls. Mainly cos their ambition knows no bounds. The amount of times we have passed boys, alone and in groups, who stare and jest with each other acting like 'oh yeah look at that I'd deffo give her one' bla bla bla never recognising the fact that they are, in fact, minging lookin bastards Who would never, not in a million years, if they were the last bit of cock on earth score these girls! In a way it's admirable, in others is comical.

Secondly, inside scoop lads, girls are just as bad. Some may not and still like to play the whole demure innocent thing, but most girls will have no prob saying they'd give that dick a go if they got a chance. Just in general they're a little
more subtle and 'selective' in their choice! So don't feel bad lads, and please don't stop. Nothing like seein a bunch of lads punch way above their weight to provide some
comic relief!

Oh and one more thing. Years back I had a male friend who was non stop vocalising his sexual prowess and wishlist for this wan and that wan. Seriously it was non stop. Quellu suprise, met his cousin in Dublin during the summer, she told me he's a confirmed closet case! Made sense really...

I would take Roro4Brit's angle on it. Women do similar, they're just as judgemental (and moreso outside looks too IME), but not as crude(though sometimes..) and generally not as much I've found with my women mates anyway.

I would also agree with him about how men will often bat out of their league in such things. IMHO that's for a few reasons. Number one among them that a man's attractiveness while based on looks, has much more wriggle room. He can earn attractiveness outside of his looks far more than women can. Secondly women are more self conscious and aware of their own place in the pecking order attractiveness wise(and among their peers). They're also more self critical. Even the most gorgeous woman looking in a mirror will find fault, whereas men tend not to to nearly the same degree.

There's stuff about sexuality that women will talk about to other women, gay men and player friends that they wouldn't even discuss with their boyfriends or husbands or any other non player man.

The difference between men and women checking out the opposite sex is subtlety. Women face each other and look over their friends shoulder so no one really notices. Men on the other hand tend to think they are invisible when checking out women and don't realise how foolish they look to women. Men should do what women do. Makes you look so much better.

Meh I dunno. I think women will discuss stuff with men they trust, men who have some notion of whats what and who wont judge them. The latter a biggy. Most are judged enough(and judge themselves more too). Gay men garner a lot of judgement so that may be part of it? Plus they feel safe the gay guy isnt going to try and get the leg over, so his comments are coming from an honest place. Maybe ditto with certain player types. They're honest and not judgemental?

I agree with you there. They have some advantages though. I recall reading somwhere that women as well as having better colour vision, also have better peripheral vision. Damn them!:D

Eh girls do this too.... I think the only difference is (and I'm talking with regard to my group of male and female mates) girls only talk about lads where they have positives to say where as some lads rip it out of girls.

Firstly a word of warning. Sometimes a guy will offer up a little bit of seemingly inner most feelings in order to draw out even greater levels of intimacy from his mates... but because it ain't the girls he tend to fantasise over.

What I don't get is why your mates switch the conversation from girls they've just seen to girls they see regularly but don't know; (unless this makes it easier to be more personal)
I mean, if they fancy the 'regulars' why not make the move?
