    Hi all,

I'm a bit confused. I noticed this morning EI582 to Malaga was cancelled. OK, no biggie but the return leg EI583 is operating today. How is the possible if the flight didn't operate to Malaga today??

They may have had an aircraft nearby that could operate it.
I remember a flight from paris where they changed the aircraft to one with a smaller capacity as the usual one was needed for such a situation.

Aer Lingus also operate Gatwick to Malaga every morning. It is this aircraft that is returning to Dublin as the morning flight to Malaga from Gatwick does not return to Gatwick but to Dublin.

So which aircraft operated back to Gatwick then? But how is that possible? My understanding is that Gatwick crew can't operate into Dublin, Cork or Shannon. Plus if you look at the Aer Lingus website, the Dublin flight departed before the Gatwick flight arrived so it can't be same aircraft.

Is it possibly (for whatever reason) that the aircraft flew empty to Malaga??

I think the A330 is only used during the sumemr timetable. Flown them to Malaga twice. Very nice aircraft

The Malaga flight from Gatwick arrives at 10:30 to Malaga. It departs for Dublin at 12:05.

The evening flight back from Malaga is the return of the second flight of the day from Gatwick to Malaga.

There are two flight to Malaga from Gatwick each day but only the evening flight returns to Gatwick.
