Im going to be moving country so im going to switch from pc -> laptop
only realised how expensive they are with proper specs

whens the best time to buy a laptop?

Prices have dropped substantially on laptops over the past couple of years. You could get a laptop with the same specifications for 500-600 euro now. Acer has a reputation as a cheap brand laptop, but they're actually very good value for money. Was speaking to a computer hardware repairman recently and he reckons Acer are as good as any when it comes to reliability.

Here's a similar spec'd Acer that you could pick up at Argos for under 500 quid:

I've mentioned this on another thread, but the exact same laptop is going for 600+ in PC World, so it definitely pays to shop around.
