Mercury levels in tuna

    Ahoy,

I know that tuna has mercury in it, but what I'm having difficulty ascertaining is at what level of consumption this can become harmful.

Would it be safe to eat 2 tins of tuna (in brine) per week, or is this too much? Lots of conflicting information via google so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Safe enough, the US FDA recommends up to 12oz of canned tuna a week.
TBH, anymore than that and you would soon get sick of it anyway!
