Your firmware ideas?

    I was thinking of ideas that I would like to see in future FW updates and I was wondering what other people wanted. Here's mine anyway:

    -Notification when someone get's a platinum in a game, or moves up a level (either through Facebook or the PS3 itself)

    -Idle status (when you haven't touched the PS3 for a certain period of time, it updates your online status). I don't know if this is in there already though.

    -Ability to link your facebook profile photo to your PSN account.

    -Increased online leaderboard capability, framework built into the FW letting you see exactly how good you are in the world at a game (today, this month, this year, all time etc.) Would certainly make games more competitive.
    -Game-installs (with a 250gb PS3 I think this is possible).

    -Better browser (current one even lags on youtube after a while)

    -Sony link app of some sort (easy streaming of content from devices to/from the PS3 for the un-technological sort).

    What's yours?

    Doesn't it do that anyway? It shows a little clock logo afaik

    No-go. They won't do that because it gives you the chance to post "nasty" photos on your avatar.

    It's as easy as could be. The technical part is your PC or other streaming device. Can't do much about those.

    From me all I want is better memory management. I think bringing the XMB up in-game is great but realistically could be done better. I don't need every setting available while playing a game. Why not use that extra muscle power for games rather then showing me settings & photo crap that can't even be used in the game anyway.

    I would also like an overhaul of the XMB. It's very functional but not pretty. Themes make it a bit nicer but the rehash by Microsoft was very good.

    Would like to be able to install games too.
    Would like to see a better structure on movies/music too.

    I think sony have cut the OS's memory requirements to 50mb (versus 32mb with the 360) to give companies more memory to play around with. TSA reported it this weekend, can't find the link as TSA is down at the moment. Why cant they even give me a cut down version of the XMB like the 360 has? All I want is my friends list, a music option with mini-player, settings and links to my PSN games.
