European laptop charger

    Hey all, i just came back from portugal for christmass with my laptop.
    The charger worked fine for a while with a 2pin to 3pin converter plug but then stoped powering the laptop. I tested the converter plug on a shaver i have and it works.
    Ideas?

    ok research done. think i had a polarised 2pin plug as aposed to a unpolarised 2pin plug and may have blown the adapter
