Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.

    She was 32.

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.

We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."

Thats terrible. I really hope its an internet rumour but I notice it was released by the same mag as first announced Michael Jacksons death so not looking good. I really liked her in 8 mile with Eminem.

No one seems to mention her movie "Spun". You should all check it out. She was totally suited to it. The kind of movie you can watch over again.
    RIP

Ya she was great in Spun, its a really great movie, up there with Trainspotting for its depiction of the world of drugs.

    RIP Brittany

Never considered her a real worthwhile actress to be honest... but that's not really the point!

So incredibly sad to die so young and in that way! :(

    RIP Brittany!

Damn it. It's the first time I've been sad over an actor dying. She was soooo pretty and talented.

I remember seeing girl interrupted for the first time and feeling really sad for her character Daisy for days afterwards. That's how good she was!

She was smokin' hot in Sin City...and cute as hell as Luanne in KOTH.

Faster kill faster is still a regular on my ipod too :(

So I read earlier. Such a shame. She was so beautiful. I loved her personality too, she came across as so friendly. :( So young.

This is such a shock to me!....i only found out from this thread. God bless her, i watched her a few months back in The Ramen Girl and thought it was a good movie. Terrible news, such a young age....

    RIP

That came out of nowhere. Had she a history of illness or perhaps drug problems?
Either way, it's terrible to see someone cut down in their prime.

    Man, it's incredibly sad.

I thought she was really hilarious in Sin City, that scene where she's leaning out the window shouting at Dwight was one of my favourite bits.

It seems the Metro this morning ran the same article, word for word as TMZ the OP quoted.

Anyone know if there was truth in the rumour about her playing Harley Quinn in the next Batman? She would've been really suited to the role but who would want to play a Batman villain now?

far too young, crying shame, beautiful woman, very underrated actress, and seemed to be a genuinely nice person! Tragic loss of a life so young!

    RIP!

Apparently she stuggled with anorexia, which, if true, might explain the cardiac problem. Very sad when any young person dies.

    Pretty serious troll alert also.

I had said it at the time of her death, irrespective of the fact that she wasnt exactly A-list, its a complete tragedy. Same age as me too. Puts things into perspective, doesnt it.
