Guitarist/writing partner wanted.

    Hey all,

    I've been writing music and playing live a long time now, and the time has come to recruit myself a new writing partner.

    I play piano,sing,have loads of material ready to work with someone on and have recently just started getting into programming.
    I'm looking for a guitarist with experience in programming and sampling as this project is along the lines of electronic/experimental.

    I have a very eclectic taste in music so I'm inspired by all kinds of genres. Its hard to explain the exact genre of this project as its got metal/classical/electronic infusions. I work with an outstanding metal drummer and Ive been playing with a fantastic guitarist since I was 14.

    I'll be going into the studio tomorrow to record all the songs in their acoustic form as I'm working on an acoustic ep with an amazing cellist in January.

    As far as inspirations come, musically I'm very inspired by: IAMX,Bjork,Tool,The Dresden Dolls,Yann Tiersen,Prince,Frank Sinatra,Noblesse Oblige,A Perfect Circle,Mozart,Tori Amos,NIN,Chet Baker,Imogen Heap,Lamb of God,Sneaker pimps etc...to name but a few.

    My songs are rarely written about things that have happened to me personally...I get more inspired about an amazing artpiece,movie,book etc...but at the same time relate to events in everyday life. I adore Lori Earleys art and have written music to go with one of her pieces...creativity is a huge part I need my writing partner to have.

    With the live shows, I'm very much into putting on a show rather than just "playing" the songs live. I love film, and put alot of work into live visuals to go with the performance. So be prepared for hard work!

    And on a last note, I am 20 if this matters or not. Age is certainly not an issue with me. As long as there's creativity,good musicianship, and a passion for performance I'm more than willing to work with you.

    Hi Sarah,

    Thanks for putting plenty of information into your post. It reads far better than many of the threads that get started on this forum. I just have a small observation - You might want to change your thread title as when I read "Writing partner wanted.", I assumed you were looking for someone to do lyrics but according to your post it's a guitarist you're after. Basically, if you are looking for a guitarist then you'd probably be better off putting that into the thread title.
