ESPN HD on SD?

    I have a normal SD TV with a normal SD TV sat box, and wasa watching the Arsenal vs. Wolves game yesterday evening on ESPN. The ESPN logo on the top right of the screen, instead of normally saying "ESPN", said "ESPN HD". Was this a mistake by ESPN, or juts a marketing plan? I thought it might have been advertising, but there was no channell number or anything like the Sky Sports HD ads and the start of every game. :S
