I SAW THIS AND HAD TO ASK

    WHY ?

are you planning on pulling a sickie ?

this business of taking days off willie nillie has got to stop, dont you know there is a recession on out there?

this is precisely how this country has gotten into this mess, people taking days off for the least little thing,

a few sniffles and that has to be a flu virus so its time off
then its a sprained ankle- a week off
    hangover days
long lost cousin comes home- thats a deffo 3 day off stint for sure
any old excuse and its down tools
taking a day off for a birthday or a dental appointment, having a baby, or a poker tournament is ok but where does it all end

3 days off for christmas !!! are you having a laugh ?

Christmas is a 1 day at most, it isnt even the real birth date of JC, the catholics stole that date from ancient celebrations of the sun god which was a celebration of the days of sunshine getting longer, going back thousands of years so they decided to use that date, since everyone was already used to taking the day off
even the Romans let their slaves have a kind of half day for celebrations on that date
but I couldnt see them allowing a 3 day stint for it, slackers were sent to the arena

c'mon man, get with the program, have a rethink about this so called schedule and forget the days off routine, lets face it, once xmas day has come and gone, what do you expect poker players to do ? sit around watching telly ?

if this keeps up, i will end up going back to running poker tournaments myself,

    HAPPY CHRISTMAS JP & Christine
may 2010 bring you health and happiness, and maybe even some prosperity

how about a new year's resolution though,
    less days off next year!!!!

    No.

However I did set-up JJP Pokermania 5 years ago with my uncle Joe Mc Keever.

I am no longer involved in the JJP Pokermania.

Joe runs a good game and has a very nice card room in Navan which I would highly recommend.
