Imo you would be very very silly to try drive up, both my sister and I have had to leave our cars in the village and get our dad to bring us home in the jeep today. The jeep had trouble getting home and the mountains will be twice as bad as here as we are only half way up compared to the mountains!

Wouldn't even try unless you've a helicopter. Roads are nothing short of lethal at sea level never mind under three/four foot of snow. Fine that you want to give the kids a treat but please dont endanger yourselves.

There was snow on the beach this morning here in Brittas, wouldn't advise tackling the mountains without 4wd and snow tires.
