Guitar Hero Metallica (incl Guitar) 35€ HMV

Hey was just in HMV kilkenny yesterday and saw that guitar hero mettalica is down to 35€ as they look to be trying to get rid of it. Im not sure about HMVS across the rest of the country but its worth looking because this is a very good deal imo

Saw the game on 360 with no guitar for €45 quid in HMV swords yesterday, I presume this is this store only, looks like the only guitar hero I would play aswell....

Just wondering is the guitar in this pack (the one with the neck slider) is worth getting if you already have the guitar hero 3 version (one without the neck slider) I'm tempted but the missus is getting sick of me bringing these things into the house.

BTW: I confirm these on every format for 35.99 in HMV Limerick (crescent sc). They also were selling the GH: World tour drum set for the same price.

Loads of Wii and 360 versions in Grafton Street. None for PS3. I'd say there's about 30 or so copies for the Wii dotted about the store and about 15 for the 360 if anyone is interested.

The queue for the checkout was crazy so I left without the checking for the others properly.

I was goign to get this game but just wondering can u buy a mic separately and have songs to sing on it at the same time aswell? Also i heard u can't use this if u wanted to play a rockband game. With that in mind, which has the better guitars and drum kits, quitar hero or rockband?

Queue was crazy in there alright, snaked all around the store.

The had the xbox and wii versions when I was in there during lunch, don't know if they had any ps3 or not.

It will work 100% in all rock band games. As for a mic, any usb mic will do you can even plug a headset for the xbox in to the controller and sing away into that.

I prefer the rock band guitars myself, but thats just apples and oranges , the GH drums are better by light years compared to the flimsy RB one's BUT the GH drums have 5 pads and RB has 4 so the GH drums are a nightmare to play in RB as the charts dont adjust for a different set up and pad layout which does actually happen when you use RB drums in GH, GH changes it's charts to 4 lanes instead of 5 when you use RB drums.

Just as a matter of interest, I'm looking to pick up another guitar for rock band/guitar hero, but i have no interest in the metallica game. does anyone know how much i might get by trading in the game in gamestop or game or the like? Just one possibility i'm looking at for getting the second guitar

Sure you could sell the game on Adverts.ie for 15/20, anyways you'd get a better price than Game or Gamestop will give ya

Well I realise there's that option, but the trade in might be less hassle overall, what with a lot of people on adverts also looking at this forum - they might decide that it'd be cheaper for them to buy the pack and sell the guitar if they don't want it, as they seem to be in more demand. Thanks for the suggestion though

I'm sure I could always ring one of the shops, or drop in, but it was just in case anyone else had tried similar already

Tempted to get one though after seeing the south park episode about it feel a bit iffy. Are they really any good? I am 34 and well I have a 360 and love metallica but....what with it?:rolleyes:

Hard to say if you've never played one of these types of games - it's a little one-dimensional compared to RB2 or GH5, but for the current price it's worth a punt. And if you're any sort of fan, when they walk out at the start to the wailing of Estassi d'Oro (sp?) and launch into For Whom The Bell Tolls, you'll be sold (or screaming "Where's Cliff, you philistines!" at the telly)

was just in HMV in swords, sign in the window advertising the xbox 360 one for 39.99 with guitar and there was a few there that i could see in store. didnt confirm the price on the box itself though.

It is not compatible with RB1, only with two.
Same the other way around, instruments from rock band work in guitar hero, but only from the third if I'm not wrong.
