How much to bargain with suppliers?

    Hey all,

I have just started looking at planning our wedding. We were thinking of having it in October 2010 but now March 2011 seems more realistic budget wise etc.

We got a quote from a hotel (in Donegal) for 49 euro per head including hot punch on arrival, 1/2 bottle wine per person, nice meal and a simple evening buffet. Its not bad- but considering the time thats in it I would like (and I presume the hotel would expect) that I would try to bargain down from there.

They seem very keen to get an 'off season' wedding onboard. With this in mind what do you think would be a reasonable bargain to make with them?

Also what about bands/ photographers etc? Are they also willing to bargain or would that be an insult? I just cant get over the price of everything!
