Just wondering what people think of training alone v's training with a group are the improvments that are possible greater in the group scenario compared to training alone or is it just all in your head?

I think it depends on the session and the company.
For LSR's and Filler miles personally I feel it doesn't make too much difference.
For the quality sessions (intervals, reps & tempos) if you have someone around your standard or a little faster, I think it makes a big difference, there's nowhere to hide and you'll always tweak out an extra 1-2% or at least stick to your target, the risk of course is discipline, no point in bombing around doing 400's in 80secs if the plan says 85.

I reckon it would depend on teh group but with people of a similar standard who you get on with I reckon a group must be better, esp for the harder stuff. Competitive spirit is bound to kick in and cause you to push on.
