I got a course of Antibiotics and some Ponstan today for an infection in my nerve, but tbh, I dont feel like the Ponstan isn't really doing anything, anyone ever had better relief for dental pain with Neurofen+ instead?

Einstein, if you have an abcess antibiotics are of limited use. Stop ponstan and take neurofen and paracetamol alternatively every 6 hours, two nurofen then 6 hours later 2 paracetamol, they potentiate each other. You may need root canal/extraction asap. Rep ipsa can you advise?

antibiotics are required in acute infections, it'll make any subsequent work much more comfortable. but alternating the painkillers until the antibiotics work.

ballys, in the absence of swelling, most endodontists believe antibiotics have little benefit in the treatment of pulpitis, at a lecture recently an endodontist said it had been over 5 years since he had prescribed them, for irreversable pulpitis root treatment or extraction is only option asap.
