Captaining the Irish Kendo team in its campaign to the world championships in Brazil.

And leading an Irish team to 3rd place in a tournament in Barcelona.

    Nice thread!

    Agree nice thread.

For me it was simply returning the Martial Arts after several years. I have learnt more about myself and about the reality of martial arts in this one year then any other. It's not that they were wasted it's just that at 34 I now understand.

Happy Christmas too all and wishing everyone a Happy New Year.

My first pro-Sanshou fight in March this year, in a castle in the snow covered Austrian alps, lovely setting.
Didn't manage to win ,though I put up a helluva fight, but what a buzz with the anticipation coming up to the fight and then coming out in front of a huge crowd to do our stuff.
    Deadly.

After a crazy summer in which me & the missus both lost our jobs, we re-located in Tralee and managed to set up a HanMooDo club there (huge problems with finding a place with mats and am still keeping an eye out).

Last week I travelled to Finland, graded and got my red belt and had a great training camp with the art's founder Young Suk.
