Hi all, hoping someone could help me out here. Looking to get either Setanta or ESPN on UPC. I've Sky Sports via my xbox already :)

For my sins I'm a Man U fan and I'm trying to find out the full list of Man U games Setanta Sports 1 have for the rest of the season compared to ESPN. Setanta lists games but they don't list what is on Setanta Ireland vs Setanta Sports 1 ? Anybody know where I can get this list from?

I'm thinking of going with ESPN as I'll get the NBA and other American sports on it...

    Any thoughts...

    Thanks,
    Neon

ESPN - € 10 if you have Sky Sports - ESPN includes ESPN America & Classic and has a lot more live sports

Setanta has very few live 'exclusive' programmes - they are all shown on Setanta Ireland eventually anyway.

Setanta is € 15 - basically for one Saturday game on SS1 - everything else eg Rugby is avaialble on free to air channels or ESPN !!

Thanks Infoanon for that...Setanta list all the games on there website saying only x amount per week blah blah blah and then you find out sure some of the games are on Setanta Ireland channel anyway which I get free.

Looks like ESPN is the way to go since I like basketball.

Setanta Sports 1 is extremly bad value for money at €15 pm. There's very little exclusive to it apart from Manchester United and Liverpool 3pm games which are almost invariably on it, as well as certain Magners' League matches (eg Leinster v Munster). Some French Top 14 games are also on Setanta Sport 1.

You need to weigh up if this is what you want. If the Manchester United games are must sees and you will spend more money going to the pub to watch them, then you will want Setanta Sports 1. If its either-or ESPN probably represents better value for money, its cheaper if you are taking Sky Sports.

ESPN for me. Setanta really is very poor value for money.

Just looking at both Setanta and ESPN list of fixtures not great value for money on either really since Man Utd will only be on once or twice over the couple of months or so.

The local pub could be a better option really.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but ESPN Classic is part of the Max channel pack and you don't need to take out a seperate ESPN subscription for it :)
