    Hello

I am looking for a 7.2v lipo Battery it is for use in my M4A1 D-Boys (7mm Gear box) AEG and for use in my Galaxy Mp5-K

If anyone can confirm as to wheather a 7.2v Lipo can issue the same rate of fire as a 9.6v non lipo then please let me know.

I dont want to have to get a mini 9.6v and a stick 9.6v and then have to drill the end off the MP5-K so as to fit the 9.6v Battery

Honesty is this regard would be very much appreciated

    Kind Regards
    M15

The age old question of batteries pops up again!!!

The honest answer to your question is YES and No!!

The larger the capacity of a battery ...mah ... the better a device will fire ...... period!

A large capacity 8.4 battery has been proven to out fire an 11.1V Li-Po.
This is fact ..... I've proven it myself! It really depends on the mah size of each battery!

One question you should ask is ..... will my device hold up to the power output of a Li-Po? Are you prepared to constantly change out trigger switches? Gear sets and pistons? Not to mention O-Rings!

Some un-biased advice ....... use the largest capacity 9.6V mah battery for longevity of your device!

If you're prepared to spend some time awaiting repairs then I'd say go for the Li-Po ...... nothing puts a bigger smile on an airsofters face than the sound of a device running on a big Li-Po!

Have a look on the net for a decent capacity Li-Po. I've only come across the standard 7.4V and 11.1V 1000mah ASG type. Must say the beasts they have out in Blancharstown, 7.4V and 11.1V 3000mah Li-Po's are not for the faint of heart or wallet!

You can get round 7.4V 1600mah or 1700mah Li-Po's for rear wired devices that fit (almost!) in the metal stock tube ......rear stock can't be closed fully with the 1700mah stick.

The 7.4V 1000mah battery will give you the equivalent rate of fire of a 9.6V 2000mah battery ....give or take a few bb's per second!

Hope this has helped ..... I'm testing a 11.V 4400mah on a device at the mo!! Rate of fire not determined yet!! Cough!!!

    :D

    Hi Viper,

    Thanks for the detailed reply,

I think I may just go with a 9.6v Battery for the M4 and get a seperate one for the Mp5-K which insidently has a nackered Hop-up.:(!!!!

My M4 is back from the shop and I get to pick her up next week as had a stuck trigger.

I have a M15 A4 Tacticle also and it has very high rate of fire its a ASG 3300Mah 8.4v battery and is atleast 3 times the weight of the original crappy battery.
My M15 is a classic army, but has had a gearbox change so should be ok to handle the rate of fire. When I pull it our of my bag people look at it as if its a Tesco value type gun, but then I fire a test run to ensure the battery is in and most people almost crap themselves.

    Thanks for the advise
    Kind Regards
    M15
