    Hello all,

I'm moving into a rented house after Christmas which is in a UPC area,Near Cork city centre,No phone line and just wondering is there any possibility of getting a 6 month contract with a company?

Or do I have to get a dreaded mobile broadband connection...

    Thanks,
    Richard

Got UPC in today. 10mb broadband and basic tv. Just outside Douglas (on the city centre side). I was told twas a 12 month contract and if you broke it it would cost 100euro. They do have a way of transferring your account if you move house (say after 6 months) but I guess it only applies if you move to a place that can get upc. Not all places can.

That said the installation took no time at all and everything is working great so far.

Don't know about any of the mobile services. I guess it depends on what you use broadband for. Good luck with it.
