Any recommendations for a low level Friday night tournament in Dublin for a few people looking for an introduction to live play?

I'm thinking pub tournament and of avoiding the club tournaments, on the grounds of costs and standard of play.

Come and visit my tournament at The Grange-Woodbine club @ Jack-out poker.com (don't put the space between jack-out and poker)

Pub Tournies are fine and dandy, but a dealer dealt trip to a casino is a better way to get started in Poker. Pub games tend to be self-dealt, and you have to work out the side pots and run the action - do you really want to?

The Voodoo Lounge in town has a €20 rebuy (the max you could spend is €50) on Friday nights. Dealers there, food and drinks if you want it, and no rush to finish up before last orders. Don't be put off by the Casino bit, you can join for free in 2 minutes on the night, and after 10 minutes there, you'll wonder what you were worried about. As Casinos go, it's one of the friendliest about.

I would honestly suggest that starting at a higher standard is a better idea than starting at a lower one. You will pick up far too many bad habits playing in a pub game.

Is this on every Friday night and is it dealer dealt?

Thanks. I was a bit put off by the 55 buyin for the Fitzwilliam but the Voodoo lounge tournament is perfect. Points about dealing noted!

Have you got tables and what room will you be using in the Grange center? Cheers again.
